Ho sakta hai they (US) wanted to avoid a dirty bomb type outcome from the strikes so they didn't hit those despite knowing. Shot across the bow waali baat.

Also possible the clever Iranians had shifted sensitive equipment and fissile material out of there.

We know we don't know..

Meanwhile Israel been spared of the rockets for now ?

However, I don't believe Iran's made a decision on weaponization yet, because going nuclear means you've accepted suicide as an option in desperation because there are no alternatives (as per your logic/ reasoning) and yous exhausted all other possibilities of any recourse. Iran's not under any threat, only a fool will believe that.

Iran's a civilizational state and it is a million times higher in total and absolute status over Israel any day. Israel has no fukking presence of being, no history, no nothing......just a buncha gypsy's no?......This is where the real crux is.....They can't face Iran these Israeli's, cuz theys basically dalit no?

I do not understand what protection is afforded by not weaponizing?

The escalation ladder is still both under your control (your decisioning) and not under your control (the enemy's decisioning ... and your retaliation).

This has been seen many times recently.

Nuclear on non nuclear combatants (US in Iraq, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Russia v Georgia, Ukraine, Chechen wars, Israel and US v Iran). I am currently not clear if China was already a declared nuclear power in '62.

Also US v India (and Russia) in '71.

I do not understand what protection is afforded by not weaponizing?

Bhaeee IMO, and dis just me but a lot of these supposed nuke powers can get punked eeeejy peejy like UK Israel or Pakistan or DPRK.......theys just small countries for a monster like Imam Putin to target them with his super deadly Oreshnik missile with nuke MIRV's........

There's just no defense doc, and Russian satellites will find any straggler UK SSBNs easily cuz their ISR from space is very good. And they'd quickly nuke depth charge those subs.......if it ever came down to it. The US can do da same........no problem......

I don't believe Iran's leadership has taken this type of an ugly existential (MAD) decision yet where you deliberately put yourself in a horrible situation like that.

Israel's not a real threat to Iran.......And the Iranian calculus thus far, as per my reading is to not enter that superpower dead end arena yet......

These pursuits just lead to mutual suicide......That's the end game.

Personally, and this is what I have read and heard repeated recently on western forums of veterans (not keyboard generals like on our desi forums) with regard to the Iran issue, but other small arsenal nations too, like North Korea, as well as what is the bare minimum threshold to be considered a nuclear power (the maxim of 100 - at least - is a power, 10 a target), is that you bare minimum need to have a credible survivable (to both first and second strokes) deliverable nuclear arsenal of at least 100+, to be assured of delivering at least 2-3 nukes on to at least 2-3 major American or Russian cities, to actually be somewhat safe from undue interference or hostility from these two superpowers.

They will still annihilate you, if pushed. But they will at least pause to consider if they want to lose 3 cities, and which 3 they can afford to lose. Before they kill you.
