A massive fire erupted at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, Pakistan, on Saturday, leading to the cancellation of all flights. Sources report that the blaze began when a Pakistan Army plane’s tire caught fire during landing. Fire engines were immediately dispatched to the scene to control the flames. As a result of the incident, the runway has been temporarily closed.

This is not the first incident of a fire at Pakistan’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. There have been previous reports of fires at the airport, highlighting the country’s poor infrastructure and disregard for security standards. On May 9th last year, a short circuit caused a fire in the ceiling of the immigration counter at Lahore Airport, which disrupted the entire immigration system at the airport.
