Short Summary: Bangladeshi FM next to EAM Jaishankar: "Bangladesh's minorities are Bangladesh's issue, just as how India treats its minorities is India's concern."
Wow - the powerful FM of superpower India could not find pants to color-match his unwieldy jacket.

But - levity aside, Indians have to accord Bangladesh the right amount of respect.

Hasina the kowtowing Indian lapdog agent is gone.

Indians just have to get used to the new reality.
Just want to say it again... I don't give a rat's testicle hair worth of damn about Hindus or any other group in either BD, Pakistan, or anywhere else on earth.

The straight answer and truth is, we've been a most benevolent bigger country to everyone in the region, BD above all, and it knows this well.

This was a bigger power game than mere public discontentment and corruption charges against the Hasina regime.

Mazhabi this and that are just tip of the iceberg stuff people obsess about.

On one hand you don't pay outstanding for months. Keep blaming for Corruption and when electricity is cut, you support it and then you say that you are obliged to take electricity. What sort of logic is this.
May be you haven't read my post carefully. My post clearly points out the reason for Bangladesh to continue to buy electricity from Adani despite huge corruption in the deal by Sheikh Hasina.

I appreciate your patriotism. While your country needs IMF loan, US aid India's 4.5 bn line of credit, this bragging is testimony to your patriotism. Congrats. Now I hope that BD will pay 1 bn outstanding of Gautam Adani.

Then why kept using electricity after Hasina quite till Adani cut it off? Why are you asking to resume electricity again?

Per my inside-PDB sources, Adani and company has launched a fervent begging campaign toward Bangladesh leaders not to cancel the supply treaty - they have made multiple trips to Dhaka to hold emergency meetings.

After all - Adani's company spent Billions setting up this lopsided electricity supply treaty where only Adani and Indian Govt. is the gainer.

Bangladeshis being kind-hearted cannot look the other way while Adani goes down the drain - despite severe public repercussions at home.

We are still neighbors after all - and Adani is Modi's closest financier.

Hindutva or not, we have to consider neighborly long-term relations.

Bangladesh and its leaders are mature in this manner, unlike Modi and the media he controls.

BD has provided bank guarantee. Adani doesn't depend on mercy of BD.

If Indian minority is India's issue, than why do you guys past resolution in OIC? The fact of the matter is that Muslims enjoy all rights in only non Muslim country like India, Europe, US, Israel etc. In Muslims countries, they are treated as secondary citizens. In Sunni majority countries, shias are lesser Muslims, Ahemadias are not even Muslims. In Iran, Sunni are hanged. In Pakistan, they carry out procession shouting slogans of Kafir, kafir shia kafir.
Rohingyas want asylum in India, illegal Bangladeshis have infiltrated in India in Big number but India treats their minority badly. This is a time to treat them like they actually propagate.

@Sharma Ji Indian Govt. (Modi) benevolence to neighbor countries is one propaganda that is well-fed to the domestic audience, you guys bought it hook, line and sinker. Be critical.

Here is some light reading,

TLDR,

"In conclusion, the price that BPDB will pay Adani is almost three times the price of electricity that it is importing from other Indian power plants, and about one and half times the price of electricity generated within Bangladesh. This is on account of capacity charges that assume the existence of a tax regime that is no longer in force in India (and wasn’t even at the time of signing the PPA), and which include a component for taxes that Adani won’t have to pay.

It is very unclear why the Bangladesh government signed such an entirely one-sided PPA, and which favors the company of a foreign oligarch. Were the Bangladesh government and its officials short-sighted and unable to fathom the consequences? Or were they under some pressure from the Indian government to help an Adani company to make more money at the expense of the people in Bangladesh? Only the Bangladesh government can answer that. "
