I cannot enjoy many or even most of these ads because of deterioration of my memory. Something seriously bad has happened to my memory. Whenever I see such old ads, it just rings a faint bell. Nothing more.

If you (as a normal person) are shown any forgotten ad you would recollect it clearly and say with confidence, "Yes, I had forgotten but now I clearly remember." But not me. I can't say that even after watching it again.

Memory damage is a really bad and loathsome thing. Because due to memory damage you cannot enjoy nostalgia. You are deprived of the pleasure and joys of nostalgia.
