There has been, but it hasn't been strong enough. Remember our people never elected a religious administration. But General Zia infected our country with an extreme Wahabbi ideology.

I am not defending it. But this has to be understood while taking into account human social and psychological history. Human belief systems are commonly dogmatic.

Denying the Holocaust is still taboo in most Western countries and even illegal in others. I can even provide a quote on how the Holocaust has taken a position as a religion.

The West is degrading because of political correctness and new religious dogma. People don't criticize dogmas in the West because of political correctness and that's what the problem is with us.

Many non-European migrants including Muslim extremists exploit this political correctness.

We fear our religious mobs and their massive numbers and total disregard for the law.
Just look what ‘Londonistan’ now looks like. UK is going to be the first failed state among the core Western elite nations. What goes around, comes around.

The sooner Pakistan becomes a "Secular" nation the faster she will walk in the path of progress. Islamic Republic as a governing idea has failed miserably both in Pakistan and Iran. There is no reason why Pakistan can not do what already has started by India. You got the brains (West Asia first nuclear power and first to start space activity when everyone else was sleep in this area).
As for Iran my prediction is that within the next decade Iran will again be a "secular " nation but more important this time around Iran will also be a non- muslim nation with a small muslim minority population.
Hopefully the mullah crowd in Iran would also disappear from Iranian landscape after them appearing in the Iranian history only 500 years ago . Mullahs have always played a negative and destructive role in Iranian history. They were always considered "parasitic" entity and tools of foreign nations to impose their will on Iran. Invented 500 years ago by the Safavid shahs to control the population and later used by British to keep Iranian population from Progress..
The British cultivated and nurtured the mullah parasites to control the population everywhere. Now, when the same mullahs turned the UK into Londonistan and came to their UK heartland to bite, dumb British are crying. What a Frankenstein’s monster!!

This is also why I hope an anti-mullah revolution in Iran will happen so that it will encourage secular Pakistanis to break the grip of the mullahs. I don't consider India a role model of secularism.

All those BJP and other Brahman fascists voted into office.

Personally I believe Pakistan should be an Islamic country, otherwise what was the point of partition?
If you want to live in a "secular" country you can go right to India then.

I believe the notion that India was never really a united country. It was a very tribal land mass with 400 million tribal jungli people with not much in common with each other. The British really governed/ exploited these people for a good 150 years and the colonial gimmicks/ racism convinced the hindus that India was always a nation going back billions of years.....lol

We have always been pre-occupied with what India is and isn't while forgetting how we have to rebuild Pakistan. A fully blind is unlikely to get back vision by saying the neighbor has only one eye !
