There are 2.6 million Indians who work in Bangladesh's textile industry as machine operators. They send $6 billion worth of remittance to super rich India. You have your share of pole-vaulters and we have ours.

We have close to 10 million illegal Bangladeshi pole vaulters with Aadhaar card and all the benefits of an Indian citizen.

Bengali Indians can instantly make them out by the way they speak.

For the rest of us, they fly under the radar as typical checked lungi impoverished Muslims from Bihar and Bengal.

And they do menial jobs. And many of the women land up in the flesh trade.

In my previous post I was talking about the Indians who have some sort of educational background. But in Bangladesh there are other Indians with no formal educational background who end up doing odd jobs.

India (Manekshaw) did the least possible for the best possible outcome.
There's a word for that, y'know ?

efficiency

Wiki defines it as:

.. the often measurable ability to avoid making mistakes or wasting materials, energy, efforts, money, and time while performing a task. In a more general sense, it is the ability to do things well, successfully, and without waste.

Bilal is an old hand. Read between the lines of his posts. He knows the score. He knows they are well off the rails now.

At least on the OG forum they were still stitching clothes and doing ok.

He's a Bangladeshi nationalist. Living in the west. Not a loony jamati.

Enough cause for him to be concerned.

inki fati padi hai 🤣

No skin off his back. Hes an expat settled in and doing well in the west. Far away from the infantile madness that is currently Bangladesh.

The ones still living there though, are still flush with "revolution" fervor. Give it time. The economics will bite soon.

Till then, lashing out at Hindus is the much needed and delayed catharsis for most of them.

Remember what I told you guys about what I saw when I was there last. I had predicted this 2 years ago.

Hmm.. anecdote bannta hai, suno

very late 80s, 89 around, just before the *&*&*&*& hit the fan in J&K, my parents decided to take a vacation to the valley, hotel deals seemed good.. hum pahunch gaye. Everything khaali khaali, mostly sannata, my mum recals vividly how the friendly taxi driver was raging about Faruq Abdullah or something "kaat denge.. etc" .. anyway, hamari kaafi uneventful and pleasant trip rahi, Gulmarg/Sonmarg (one of the 2) glaciers, lived on house boat, did a bit of idhar udhar gardens and street tours, was quite nice what little I recall.

Within a few months the scene was in full swing. We know what followed.. there was also this super cute Ms Kaul, our teacher in little school.. early 90s, and how there was this air about her, everyone would follow her around in school.. ki bechaari refugee hai.. I think she'd lost a few in the violence.. of course, I had no idea, but all these years the pieces are coming together, full matrix style

but that BD is heading to utter chaos, mujhe bhi yehi feeling hai.. plus, unki ideology.. no bullwarks anymore, creaky bulkheads, some have given way.. she listing.

Eastern command better be up to it, a Pakistan rises to our east again

*cracks knuckles and neck .. aa jao pancho !

ho jae fir

Yes, sadly its the religion thing thats going to ride piggyback and then rise above and engulf this post revolution largely emotionally immature nation.

We saw it in Pakistan.

We saw it Iran.

We delayed it in Bangladesh. Up until now.

Cheers, Doc

It had been licking it's wounds, refilling it's venom sacks, and regrowing those hypodermic fangs all along.

Release the nevlas, and the bobcats !

Guys - as amusing as you guys are, please try to stay on topic.

And the topic is not "Bangladesh going down the tubes" - it is...

"Is India trying to destabilize the current interim government of Bangladesh to bring back Hasina" ?

Does India have anything to do with the following incident? I am sure India wants to destabilize our energy sector to topple the incumbent government.

Fire on vessel at Bay: LPG tanker Sophia being towed to deep sea

The LPG tanker which caught fire early today at Kutubdia anchorage was being towed to deeper sea in the Bay of Bengal.

Asked about latest update, an official of CPA Marine Department told The Daily Star at 7:30pm that a CPA tugboat Kandari 4 was towing the tanker B-LPG Sophia deeper into the Bay from Kutubdia anchorage while another tugboat Kandari 3 was spraying water on it, reports our Chattogram staff correspondent.

Fire cannot be seen from the head to rear parts of the tanker but it could not be confirmed that fire has been extinguished, he said.

Fire is not visible as a firefighting tugboat was working to douse the flames but dense smoke was coming out of the vessel, the official added.

"We're cooling the vessel to stop combustion and trying to send technical experts onboard before crew can be deployed," he said.

He anticipated that fire would automatically stop if all the LPG gas is burnt.

The LPG tanker, B-LPG Sophia, caught fire around 12:55am when it was lightering liquid petroleum gas from mother vessel, Captain Nikolas.

And what does what you just posted have anything to do with that topic Bilal?

Speaking of your besieged Hindu community, apparently there is a temple in Bangladesh where the deity had a gold crown presented by the Indian PM.

That crown has been stolen now.

A greedy thief may have stolen the crown. Please refrain from giving it a religious color.

More likely a mob of Muslims out to vandalise a Hindu temple and stealing what obviously looked like gold.

Have you heard of the Somnath temple and how many times it was sacked?

The "religious" color will apply if it fits.

It is highly unlikely that a Hindu will steal the mukut of the resident deity of a mandir.

Rest assured, India is keeping tabs on the Hindus in Bangladesh and what is happening to them. The rope is long. Not infinite.
