What is more important than Nation is cultural identity and feeling of oneness. Though, Nepal and India are different nation today, people still have Roti Beti relation. Incase, Nepal merges with India, there won't be much issues. They can assimilate easily with India. This is the reason why 6 million Nepalis earn their livelihood in India without any viza and have merged with local population without much problem. I see more similarities between rural Gujarat people and rural Pakistani people of some area of Sindh than between Kerelites. India is nation not because different people came to gather, formed a union and unanimously decided to form a nation with federal structure. In Kashi Vishwanath, priest is always from South India. Kashivishwanath Darshan is incomplete without the darshan of Pashupatinath. This cultural bonding is much stronger than L**d identity of nation. Look at Pakistan. Baloch do not consider them Pakistanis, nor Pashtuns. A nation without shared value and shared culture is a L**d nation like Pakistan while people feel one though they are from different nation. Example, Nepali and Indian Hindus, Pakistani and Irani Baloch, Pakistani and Afghani Pashtuns.
