Harts stood ready for action at the North-West Frontier base at Risalpur in 1932. Today the city is the home of the Pakistan Air Force Academy

On 10 April 1959,

PAF scored its first kill !!!FO Muhammad Yunus of 15 Sqn, "Cobras", shot down an IAF Canberra, which intruded Pakistan's airspace and was doing recce over the areas around Rawalpindi.
It was an Eid day, but the enemy didn't know that PAF was on alert.
