‘Too late’, Dar tells Haideri on govt formation in Balochistan
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) approached the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for potential collaboration in forming a government in Balochistan. However, the PML-N declined the late proposal, citing prior engagements.
According to
Express News, a meeting took place between representatives of both parties to discuss the prospects of government formation in Balochistan. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri represented JUI-F, and Ishaq Dar attended the meeting on behalf of PML-N.
Sources reveal that Haideri expressed the possibility of JUI-F and PML-N forming a government together in Balochistan. However, Ishaq Dar responded, stating that despite the interest in collaboration, the JUI-F's approach came too late.
"Maulana, you are too late. I was contacting you for four days but you could not be reached," Ishaq Dar reportedly informed Haideri during the meeting.
He said PML-N has already entered into a power-sharing agreement with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), further limiting its options for collaboration. Ishaq Dar acknowledged the historical association with JUI-F, stating, "We have been together through hot and cold weather," promising to inform the top leadership about JUI-F's offer.
