ঢাকা, নারায়ণগঞ্জ ও জয়পুরহাটে সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার বিরুদ্ধে আরও তিনটি হত্যা মামলা দায়ের হয়েছে।

আজ মঙ্গলবার ঢাকার চিফ জুডিশিয়াল ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট আদালত, নারায়ণগঞ্জের সোনারগাঁ থানা ও সিনিয়র জুডিশিয়াল ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট আদালতে মামলা তিনটি দায়ের হয়।

গত ৫ আগস্ট ঢাকার আশুলিয়ায় নিহত সেলুনকর্মী জাহিদুল ইসলাম সাগরের (২৮) ছোট ভাই আনারুল ইসলাম বাদী হয়ে মামলাটি দায়ের করেন।

মামলায় শেখ হাসিনা ছাড়াও আওয়ামী লীগ সাধারণ সম্পাদক ওবায়দুল কাদের, সাবেক আইনমন্ত্রী আনিসুল হক, সাবেক তথ্য প্রতিমন্ত্রী মোহাম্মদ এ আরাফাত, জাসদ সভাপতি হাসানুল হক ইনু, ওয়ার্কার্স পার্টির সভাপতি রাশেদ খান মেনন, ঢাকা-১৯ আসনের সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য মোহাম্মদ সাইফুল ইসলাম, বেসরকারি টেলিভিশন এটিএন নিউজের সাভার প্রতিনিধি জাহিদ হাসান শাকিলসহ ৭৫ জনের নাম উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।

এছাড়াও অজ্ঞাতনামা আসামি রয়েছেন ২০০ জন।

সাগর রংপুরের তাজহাট থানাধীন দুর্গাপুর এলাকার মো. রফিকুল ইসলামের ছেলে। রফিকুল ইসলাম সপরিবারে আশুলিয়ার বাইপাইল বগাবাড়ি এলাকায় বসবাস করেন। সাগর একটি সেলুনের দোকানে কাজ করতেন।

বাদীর আইনজীবী ইমরুল হাসান বলেন, 'সিজিএম আদালতে আজ মামলাটি দায়ের করা হয়েছে। আদালত আগামী তিন দিনের মধ্যে আশুলিয়া থানাকে মামলাটি রেকর্ড করার আদেশ দিয়েছেন।'

এজাহারে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে, গত ৫ আগস্ট শিক্ষার্থী-জনতার আন্দোলনে যোগ দিতে রাস্তায় নেমেছিলেন সাগর। দুপুর ২টার পর বাইপাইল এলাকায় আওয়ামী লীগ ও এর অঙ্গ সংগঠনের নেতাকর্মীরা সাগরকে মারধর করে। স্থানীয় সংসদ সদস্য সাইফুল ইসলাম সেখানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। ইয়ারপুর ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান শামীম আহম্মেদ ভুইয়া সাগরের মাথায় আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র ঠেকিয়ে গুলি করেন।

সাগরকে হাসপাতালে নেওয়ার পর চিকিৎসকরা মৃত ঘোষণা করেন। ওই ঘটনার পর সাগরের মরদেহ রংপুরে দাফন করা হয়েছে বলেও এজাহারে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।

গত ২০ জুলাই কাঁচপুর এলাকায় বাসচালকের সহকারী নিহতের ঘটনায় নারায়ণগঞ্জে শেখ হাসিনার বিরুদ্ধে আরও একটি হত্যা মামলা দায়ের হয়েছে।

এ নিয়ে গত ৫ আগস্টের পরে শেখ হাসিনার বিরুদ্ধে নারায়ণগঞ্জে তিনটি হত্যা মামলা দায়ের হলো।

নিহত মো. জনির বাবা মো. ইয়াসিন বাদী হয়ে মঙ্গলবার বিকেলে সোনারগাঁ থানায় মামলাটি দায়ের করেন।

সোনারগাঁ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো. কামরুজ্জামান জানিয়েছেন, মামলায় ১৮৭ জনের নাম উল্লেখ করে এবং অজ্ঞাতনামা ১২০ জনকে আসামি করা হয়েছে।

আসামিদের মধ্যে রয়েছেন—আওয়ামী লীগ সাধারণ সম্পাদক ওবায়দুল কাদের, সাবেক স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী আসাদুজ্জামান খান কামাল, সাবেক পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী হাছান মাহমুদ, সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য শামীম ওসমান ও তার ছেলে ইমতিনান ওসমান অয়ন, ভাতিজা আজমেরী ওসমান, সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য নজরুল ইসলাম বাবু, সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য গোলাম দস্তগীর গাজী ও সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য আব্দুল্লাহ আল কায়সার হাসনাত।

এজাহারে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে, ১৭ বছর বয়সী মো. জনি নাফ পরিবহনের একটি বাসের চালকের সহকারী হিসেবে কাজ করতেন। তার বাড়ি সোনারগাঁ পৌরসভার বালুয়া দিঘীরপাড় গ্রামে।

গত ২০ জুলাই বিকেলে কোটা সংস্কারের দাবিতে আন্দোলন চলাকালে কাঁচপুর এলাকায় তিনি গুলিবিদ্ধ হন। একটি গুলি তার বুকে এবং আরেকটি তার পিঠে বিদ্ধ হলে ঘটনাস্থলেই জনির মৃত্যু হয়।

এর আগে শনিবার নারায়ণগঞ্জ সদর মডেল থানায় ও সোমবার সিদ্ধিরগঞ্জ থানায় শেখ হাসিনার বিরুদ্ধে আরও দুটি হত্যা মামলা দায়ের হয়।

এদিন জয়পুরহাটে শেখ হাসিনাসহ ২১৭ জনের বিরুদ্ধে আরও একটি হত্যা মামলা দায়ের হয়েছে।

মঙ্গলবার দুপুরে নিহত মেহেদী শেখের (২৫) স্ত্রী জেসমিন আক্তার সৃষ্টি বাদী হয়ে জয়পুরহাট সিনিয়র জুডিশিয়াল ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট আতিকুর রহমানের আদালতে মামলাটি দায়ের করেন।

শুনানি শেষে আদালত জয়পুরহাট সদর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তাকে (ওসি) মামলাটি এজাহার হিসেবে নথিভুক্ত করার আদেশ দিয়েছেন। বাদীর আইনজীবী আব্দুল মোমিন ফকির দ্য ডেইলি স্টারকে তথ্যের সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করেছেন।

মেহেদী পেশায় একজন অটোরিকশাচালক ছিলেন। তিনি শহরের নতুনহাট এলাকার মৃত আলতাফ হোসেন শেখের ছেলে।

মামলার বিবরণীতে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে, গত ৫ আগস্ট শেখ হাসিনা পদত্যাগ করে দেশ ছাড়ার পরে ৭০০-৮০০ মানুষ জয়পুরহাট সদর থানার বাইরে অবস্থান নিয়ে স্লোগান দিতে থাকেন। সে সময় আওয়ামী লীগ নেতাকর্মীরা থানার ভেতরে অবস্থান করছিলেন। থানার ভেতর থেকে আওয়ামী লীগ নেতাকর্মীদের ছোড়া গুলিতে মেহেদী গুরুতর আহত হন। পরবর্তীতে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় তার মৃত্যু হয়।​

Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 147 others were sued today in a case filed over the death of protester Liton Hasan Lalu during the mass protest in Mirpur-10 in August.

Awami League General Secretary and former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan, former lawmakers Kamal Ahmed Majumder and Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, former inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, former DB chief Harun Or Rashid, former DMP commissioner Habibur Rahman and former DMP joint commissioner Biplob Kumar Sarkar are among the accused.

Md Milon Hasan, the victim's brother, filed the murder case with the Court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan.

The magistrate recorded the statement of the complainant and asked officer-in-charge of Mirpur Model Police Station to register it as a first information report (FIR).

According to the case statement, Liton participated in a procession during the mass protest brought out in the city's Mirpur-10 intersection around 2:00pm on August 4. At one stage, some other unidentified persons opened fire, injuring the victim seriously.

Soon after the incident, Liton was rushed to the National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital at Agargaon where he succumbed to his injuries on August 7.

With this, Sheikh Hasina, who resigned and fled to India amid a mass uprising on August 5, is now facing 18 cases, including 15 for murder, one for abduction and two for committing crimes against humanity and genocide.​

The Department of Immigration and Passports has initiated a move to revoke the official passports of deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her former cabinet colleagues and former members of parliament, as both her cabinet and the 12th parliament have already been dissolved.

Awami League president Sheikh Hasina, who resigned as prime minister and fled to India amid a student-led mass uprising on August 5, had a valid official passport till now, the passport officials confirmed.

‘We have taken a move to revoke the official passport of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and others in her cabinet already dissolved with her resignation as prime minister. They are no more entitled to the official passports as per law,’ a senior official at the Department of Immigration and Passports told New Age on Tuesday.

Asked about the present status of the official passport of Sheikh Hasina, the official said that the former prime minister was carrying a valid official passport and the process was under way to cancel it in a day or two.

Sheikh Hasina, now staying in India, was trying to get political asylum in some western countries, according to Indian media reports.

Official and diplomatic passport holders from Bangladesh can travel to India without visa and can stay there for a period of 45 days as per an agreement between the two countries, officials said.

A day after Sheikh Hasina’s fall, president Mohammed Shahabuddin on August 6 dissolved the 12th parliament formed through the January 7 controversial general election.

Later on August 8, the interim government led by Nobel laureate professor Mohammad Yunus was formed to run the country.​

Family members of those who were killed in the student-people movement on Tuesday demanded trial of fascist Hasina and others for giving order of the killings.

They made the demand at a memorial meeting at the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital recalling the martyrs in July mass-upsurge and other martyrs who were killed in the last 15 years at the hands of Awami fascist.

Students, teachers, writers, journalists and artistes' community arranged the programme on "We won't forget you who freed Bangladesh from autocrat sacrificing their lives".

At the outset of the memorial meeting, a one-minute silence was observed in memory of the martyrs of July movement of student-people and quick recovery of the injured was also wished. Later, national anthem was rendered.

Then, family members of the martyrs gave speeches, BSS reports.

Martyred Yamin's father Md Mahiuddin said: "What has happened to me, how my son was killed that cannot take place in any civilized society. Those who brutally killed him should be brought to justice for ensuring toughest punishment."

"We want to get justice in my lifetime. I seek doa for my son from all. I wish for the great purpose they sacrificed their lives would be successful," he said.

Shaheed Bahadur Hossain Monir's father Abu Zafar said: "I don't have any pain as I lost my son. I want the people stay in peace. If the people stay in peace, the soul of my son will get peace. I want trial of the fascist government."

Another martyr Din Islam's father Shah Alam Bapari became emotional while speaking before the audience. A somber situation was created on the Central Shaheed Minar premises on the occasion.

Emotionally choked Shah Alam said: "These killers must be brought to justice. I want to see the justice in my lifespan."

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Members Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Selima Rahman and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, BNP Vice-Chairmen Shamsuzzaman Dudu and Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon, Joint Secretaries General Khairul Kabir Khokon and Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie and Chhatra Dal Central President Rakibul Islam Rakib were present, among others.

Dipok Goswami recited a poem titled "Sob Mone Rakha Hobe" in the memorial meeting.

Valiant Freedom Fighter, Researcher and Journalist Abu Sayeed Khan, Dr Zahidur Rahman, Publisher and Writer Sayeed Bari, poet Rafiqul Islam, Shaheed Rezaul Karim's father Alamgir Mir, Shaheed Litton Uddin's brother Ripon Uddin and Shaheed Ismail Hossain Sayeed's brother Rabiul Islam also reminisced on the occasion.

Three among family members of those who were forcefully disappeared during the 15 years' regime of the ousted autocrat Sheikh Hasina explained their miseries in emotional voice and demanded trial of killer Hasina.

Disappeared BNP leader and Dhaka City Corporation's former commissioner Chowdhury Alam's daughter Mahfuza Chowdhury, Saiful Islam Sumon's sister Tuli and Omar Faruque's son Imon Omar Faruque spoke.

"I lost my father 14 years ago. I want my father back now. I want trial of killer Hasina," Mahfuza Chowdhury said.

Festoons containing pictures of those who were killed in the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and those who were killed and victims of forceful disappearance in the last 15 years' regime of fascist Awami League were hanged on the Shaheed Minar premises.​

A case was filed against 21 people, including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, son Sajeeb Wazed Joy and daughter Saima Wazed Putul, over the killing of fruit vendor Farid Sheikh in the capital's Jatrabari area during the recent anti-discrimination students' movement.

Deceased Farid's father Sultan Miah filed the case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shakil Ahammed. The court after recording the statement of the complainant asked Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate the matter and submit a report.

According to the documents, Farid Sheikh was shot by police around 3.30 pm on the road, south of Mayor Hanif Flyover's Jatrabari toll plaza, on 4 August. He succumbed to his injuries at Mugda Hospital on 6 August.

The other prominent accused in the complaint are - Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Hasan Mahmud, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel and Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh.​
