Tajik citizens will no longer be able to enter Turkey without a visa
According to an edict published in the Official Journal of the Resmi Gazete, Tajik citizens can no longer enter Turkey without a visa.
The decree signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan states, "It was decided to abolish the visa-free regime for citizens of Tajikistan entering Turkey on an ordinary passport."
Also, the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet wrote that in Istanbul, security forces tracked down two alleged members of the Islamic State*, the detainees were planning a terrorist attack in Turkey, the plan was already "at an advanced stage." The newspaper said the suspects were a 37-year-old Tajik national and a 41-year-old Kyrgyz woman who was subsequently deported from Turkey.
