I lived and worked in Chi-Raaq 4 years man. Used to work just down da street from the Sears tower. It's a magnificent downtown all art deco era architecture. Just beautiful.

In the GCC it totally does. These same CEO's go back home, create a spinoff of the highly successful parent org and then set up shop in the GCC or EU and increasingly in commonwealth Africa now too. A huge new Indian company is born almost entirely staffed by Indians from India.

India and Indians are doing great today working seamlessly with the global corporate capitalist system. There is no question about this.

Many Pakistani industries now too (heavy mech/ industrial) also getting their technology from India. Jindal has personal relations with the Sharifs and you know Lal Krishna Advani is close to the peoples party.

When I briefly worked in Pakistan 15 years ago I'd see some sugar mills importing boilers and piping and farming/ crushing processing equipment/ silos and construction material from east Punjab.

When you've lived and worked in the US 17 years like me and then you visit the EU.......its a stark difference in just about every measurable metric.

Bohot farq hae......Aur yehee difference between Japan and the EU.

Niice. I hear from friends in the Emirates, some of them muslim Indians, and they often bump into the odd Paxtani there too.

Apparently Indian Kashmiri musalmans have stopped getting free taxi fares from Pakistani cabbies upon learning where they're from... very anecdotal, but, hmm...

Mass smuggling of Indian FMCG stuff, everything from kitchen masalas to hair oil and other such into Pakistan has long been a thing. Apparently there's great demand for Indian things.. "madhuri de do, kashmir le lo"

Legal trade hi kar lo, we got a burgeoning auto scene here, and others, airlines etc... Pakistan should be taken in trade ka lapeta.

Must be, man.. even Korea, I'll bet.

There is something to say about a contiguous homogeneity of people and culture. Main cheez hai ki diversity nahi hai.

Other places made a rotten khichdi and spoilt their own broth.

Reh lo full pyaar mohabbat se, jaa ke mil lo, gift exchange kallo.. but too much mixing bad.

All of the west, and India is beyond help at this stage.. Arabs and East Asians holding strong but.
