I see Iraq and AfPak as essential strategic depth cum invasion staging area buffers fir Iran.

I believe that will be their red lines.

As long as Afghanistan and Pakistan are warring, Iran does not need to do much.

Their Shia proxies in Pakistan are more than adequate. While Afghanistan are essentially well in control as well as enemy of my enemy dynamics.

The northern-north eastern regions of the stans once again are traditional Iranian satrapies.

The war is coming. Not yet on their doorstep.

But close.

1400 years ago, Khosro lost control of Syria/ Jordan to Byzantium. That triggered the thought of Rome to inculcate the Sawdi Judeans into thinking. It was they who provided the technology to the Bedouins and enticed the Kurds to rebel against the holy nation of Dasturs n Mobeds.

It was a huge negligence of the Sassanids.......It was a two front attack when Persia was at its weakest.

The threat is always from the West.

Same with the Ashkanian or even earlier Achaemenid era's.

Already there is panic in the IRGC that Syria must be brought back under Iranian sway, or it means the border has been breached.

Correct.

The threat is always from the west.

And Iran had been fighting the west for 3000 years. Before Islam came from the south.

In a way, in every way, Iran has always been the protective wall for the Indian subcontinent.

Only when it was breached, did the heat reach India.

The Chinese and Indian civilizations were always mutually hands off.

India was always attacked from the west.

And till Islam, it was never Iran.

In fact, it was only when Iran was breached.

There is a lesson in there somewhere for us.
