You are so wrong. Topiwala (Thappar victim) is a native resident of Assam (not fence jumper), from time immemorial as reported (probably converted by Sufi Saints in the 1400s). Indians should really stop dreaming about their country being THAT much more improved and a land of milk and honey to be coveted by citizens of neighboring countries (except Nepalis).

A lot of the areas of Indian Assam had large Bengali Muslim populations in the Kachhar (38%) and KarimGanj (57%) areas (along with Sylhet) were supposed to be part of Bangladesh, but only Sylhet was joined with Bangladesh (not most of Assam and seven sisters) because Jinnah demanded (and got) more territory in West Pakistan, in exchange for Kachar and Karimganj. The official language of Kachar (or Cachar) and most of Barak Valley (including Karimganj) is Bengali by the way, these are all Sylheti type Bengalis.
