I made fun of Tamil and Bengali

searer ne mujhe ban kar dia

Making fun is one thing, but deriding any ethnicity, language, tradition or culture counts as hate speech and is not tolerated in this forum. It is still a sad habit for South Asians to hate and poke fun at each other but it is not allowed in this forum. Just so you know.

If you make fun of specific ethnicity, they can make fun back of your ethnicity. Then it becomes a pointless troll-fight. It is a waste of time and bandwidth and does not reflect well on the quality of discourse in the forum.

Also let's limit gup-shup (loose banter and small talk) to the whatever or chill threads (like right now). Regular threads are for on-topic discussions only.

Yes agreed. But forum rules are what they are. You don't really know who will take offense and when.

We all know what happened in 1947, but just like he says the British planted the seeds of partition back in 1857.

The British partitioned India along religious lines so they could sell arms to both for the next century and make trillions more doing business and interjecting themselves in the region.
