Gujarat being developed as sporting hub to host Olympics, says Sanghavi
Gujarat is being developed as a “sporting hub” with the aim of hosting the Olympics, Minister of State for Sports, Harsh Sanghavi, said Thursday. He was addressing the Legislative Assembly while seeking approval of the House for budgetary allocations for the sports department.

Sanghavi, thanked CM Bhupendra Patel for allocating Rs 250 crore for sports in the Budget for 2025-26, which is nearly 41 per cent more than the last fiscal.

“As part of our preparations for the Olympics, the Gujarat government is constantly striving to develop Gujarat and Ahmedabad in particular as a sporting hub. Gujarat has successfully organized national and international level competitions during the last one year,” said Sanghavi.

Gujarat with better infrastructure in India should be the ideal choice for Olympic Hosting. Moreover, there is unlikely change of government in state. State government will also be very cooperative. Make it batter than the best. We still have more than a decade to go. This will prove to be a growth driver for country, its image and influence. This must be executed in best manner. Those who visits India should never forget the experience. Best food, best hospitality, great experience, lots of good places to see. Keep it at cricket, udhar bhi hassles bhot hain to watch a match but we have experience with the sport and holding big events, Olympics will be total chaos for whichever city they're in.

Prestige event hai anyway, jeetna humne ikke dukke medals hi hain, dekhta bhi koi nahi woh sports... so no from me, plenty of other things to get done.
