I believe India/ Pak were populated by totally Dravidians about 3,000 years ago when the Steppe Aryans entered via Iran/ Afghan route. Kept pushing em south and east and settled down in NW Indian subcontinent. Over the next 5,000 years, looks like they either assimilated entirely or just a handful like 0.1% left now hiding in their gated communities and temples.
