When I lived there it was still called Bombay. I spent some of my best days there, and that name is an indelible part of my memory. That's how I remember it. However, over time I have gotten used to using Mumbai too, as most colleagues in an office set up use that name. I use both, depending on what comes on the tongue first. In personal situations, nostalgia, it will always be Bombay. In transactional situations it is Mumbai

Examples:

* Paris has Eiffel Tower.

* New York has Statue of Liberty.

* Agra has Taj Mahal.

What could be Mumbai's / Bombay's symbol?
