The cheap liquor here is so plentiful along with tobacco.

Ill get me a can of Asahi beer every now and then if I'm in a mood. It's very mehengi here but... 300 bucks a can or something at a shop, dearer yet in a bar.

I see these whiskeys sometimes too, bhot mehengi here.

Karachi has a great social scene if yous in the right circle. There is the Sindh club dating from the 1850’s and the Karachi gym khana boat club and the marina club and several nice golf courses. Well travelled folk and the usual kool minorities and nice restaurants.

Plenty of good company if you seek it.

Only in the last generation or so the law n order has deteriorated but people now live in gated communities. It’s a partial solution though.
