I have seen some rich countries which are fairly religious. Like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Poland, Morocco, Malaysia, and Brunei.
Religiosity Highest in World's Poorest Nations
![]()
Religiosity Highest in World's Poorest Nations
Religiosity is strongly related to per-capita income worldwide. In the poorest countries Gallup surveyed in 2009, a median of 95% of adults say religion is an important part of their daily lives, compared with 47% who say the same in the world's richest countries.news.gallup.com
Being poor and religious is just a stereotype.
Look at Sultan of Brunei, he is filthy rich and rules his country according to Islamic edicts.
