They NEED a proper air force, manned ka zamana khatam nahi hua hai, not just yet. So I'd say ki drone program jaari rakhein, by all means, but also fill the capability gaps.

They should get the SU35 or J10c or anything else they can asap to plug the capability gaps for now.

Iran should never accept any technology from anyone, but develop its own using its own scientific institutions and the huge numbers of doctorate graduate students coming into the market every year.

Iranian military woud have to first integration itself with the Beidou SatNav system.

Their pilots have no experience with modern planes and modern aerial warfare.

They will have to induct a whole gamut of Chinese weaponry ecosystem to fully realise the J10CEs potential. Induction of AWACS, data transfer TDLs, integration of entire warmachine into a net centric web.

In short, it would take them years before they alter the aerial mismatch, even a few degrees in their favor.

For a country that is so good in drones and decoys and rockets and missiles, they should at the very least have a good multi layered air defence.

Turkey and Pakistan are the Muslim countries that have the manufacturing knowhow and could help.

But will not.

Western countries (Germany, Sweden, France, Poland) will not.

India will not.

Russia has not. Can. But has not.

That only leaves China.

Considering the deep infestation of western intelligence apparatus in Iran and Iranian military apparatus, I dont think Chinese would be willing to sell Iranians anything apart from watered down J10s. And without AWACS to vector to J10s, it would be a turkey shoot.

I think its time for Iran to pick a side. They are not Russia, US or China that they can play this game alone.
