Chaddis filthying up the region.
Oh sure - our media is the one screaming from the rooftops with filthy lies and propaganda...India yeh karega, wo karega. Karkey dekhao na bhai. Whiners and losers in the BJP losing their minds.

Pakistanis are singing the songs of resetting relations with Bangladesh and the latter are gladly reciprocating. What will BJP do about it?

As they say in West Bengal....Kochu, Kanchkala, Ghanta.

Pakistan has begun its two-year tenure as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), replacing Japan, which currently occupies the Asian seat in the Security Council on 1st January, Wednesday.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistanโ€™s commitment to cooperating with all UNSC members and the larger UN membership.

Speaking at a reception he hosted for the heads of the UNSC member statesโ€™ resident missions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the deputy prime minister said that Pakistan would endeavor to heal divisions, promote unity, and fulfill the UNSCโ€™s mandate in line with the goals and tenets of the UN Charter.

Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan, which was elected for the seventh time, provided a wealth of expertise and an unflinching dedication to the goals and ideals of the UN Charter to the Security Council.

The deputy prime minister highlighted Pakistanโ€™s contributions to international peace and security, especially through its active role in UN peacekeeping and peacebuilding endeavors worldwide.

He underlined that Pakistan looked forward to seeking just and peaceful resolution of situations on the agenda of the UN Security Council.

โ€œAs a member of the Council, Pakistan will continue to oppose the unilateral and illegal use or threat of force; combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations; and support effective UN peacekeeping, and peacebuilding efforts.โ€

He also expressed gratitude to all UN member states for their resounding support in electing Pakistan to UN Security Council.

Pakistan was elected as as a non-permanent member of the UNSC with a massive majority in June last year.

Pakistanโ€™s earlier terms on the UNSC were in 2012-13, 2003-04, 1993-94, 1983-84, 1976-77, 1968-69 and 1952-53.

โ€œWe are grateful to all members of the UN General Assembly for their confidence in Pakistan and for electing it as a non-permanent member of the Security Council. We are also grateful to the members of the Asia-Pacific Group for endorsing Pakistanโ€™s candidature for the Council,โ€ the Foreign Office had stated after the election.

Letter by Pakistan's Government regarding the matter @ghazi @Ghazi52

Pakistan has been elected as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the term 2025-2026, receiving an overwhelming support in the elections held by the UN General Assembly in New York today.

We are grateful to all members of the UN General Assembly for their confidence in Pakistan and electing it as a non-permanent member of the Security Council. We are also grateful to the members of the Asia-Pacific Group for endorsing Pakistan's candidature for the Council.

Elected for the eighth time as a non-permanent member, Pakistan brings to the UN Security Council a rich experience and a strong legacy of contributions towards the maintenance of international peace and security, manifested by its strict adherence to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter as well as its UN peacekeeping and peacebuilding endeavours across many regions of the world.

In its upcoming term, Pakistan will remain committed to pursuing just and peaceful resolution of outstanding and ongoing disputes; opposing the resort to unilateral and illegal use or threat of use of force; combatting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations; supporting effective UN peacekeeping, peace enforcement and peacebuilding efforts; and contributing effectively towards the resolution of regional and global crises.

Pakistan looks forward to working closely with the other members of the UN Security Council and with the broader UN Membership for upholding the UN Charter and pursuing the vision of preventing war and promoting peace; fostering global prosperity and promoting universal respect for human rights.

Back in the old pre hijack terrorism days, flight crew would often take groups of kids and show them the flight deck/cockpit.

Been there - done that. Dozens of times as a kid.

Yours truly is an aviation nut like Sam Chui.

Also got free upgrades to first class many times as well.

Pays to know the right folks.

@Bagheera what is the matter?

Great to know bhai !

I'm a total plane nut too :D

meri toh mostly just this one domestic circuit pe hoti hain lately, but I keep an eye out for trends and who doing what, and how well and poorly here.

In India, PLENTY options, but they thugs.. airways are the new railways.. can't take the desi out of their way of doing things.. "chalta hai" .. and then bania/jew penny pinching mentality, DISGUSTING, I tell you. They're an absolute disgrace.

As an example, wont even give you a small can of overpriced coke, most of these carriers.. some besharam raand of an airhostess with her hair all done up in a bun with casually walk to you with a 2 LITRE coke ki botal and pour our a flat coke in an undersized glass before asking you for 150 rupees or something.

Airport pe bhi chori, some stores only keeping 300 ruppay ki Evian bottle.. some, not all. Some fall for it too.. hajaar rupay ka pint, cheap kingfisher draught, 1700 ke matr 4 seekh kebab, thin ones.. 1950 rupeej ki long island ice tea..

Indian domestic scene is so fukced you wont believe it, there's a tonne of other bs too I'm not even gonna bother with ..

Lobster Thermidore milega, ekdum fresh ;) ๐Ÿฆž

just not on our local flights
