If a nation is ruled by fanatic dictator, the main benefit of such ruller is that he will have to protect himself and few others without worrying about people. Like Mao was saying, he will not bother even if half of Chinese die. Xi has made many people disappear. What I want to say is they have a great flexibility in flight war as their security concern is confined themselves, their family and few others. While in democracy, you will have to worry whole population, which puts limitations on your operational flexibility. The flexibility which Irani Ayatollahs enjoys while fighting with Israel is not enjoyed by Netanyahu.
